Cake Walk at the Carter Family Reunion

This weekend we went with my mom to the Carter family reunion out at Ophir. We spent half the afternoon and a lot of money trying to win a cake. We were not having very good luck. Finally we won the very last cake. That was one expensive cake!! The cake was really cute. You can't really see in the picture but it is a cat and mice on a piece of cheese. The mice were gummy so that you could eat them. My mom wouldn't eat any of the cake cause she couldn't get past the black sprinkles that they put on the cake as mice droppings. I thought it was funny that it grossed her out so much.

Strawberry Days Parade

The parade was SO HOT this year! Jaxon and Hudson loved it though but by the end Jaxon would lay in the shade and tell me to go and get candy for him cause he was too sweaty:) We sat with Jeff & Rachel. The boys always love being with their cousins! We also found Carston's new love... Snow cones. I think he ate all of my moms. Thanks to Jeff's sister he was very entertained.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

Last night we went to the Rodeo. The boys loved everything. Jaxon said he didn't have a favorite part cuz he liked it all. But as you can tell from the pictures they were completely out of control. The lady in front of us even told us to move. My dad always takes care of those situations. Josh says we might need to take a break from the rodeo for a few years or at least until we can figure out how to control our WILD BOYS.

So it's always a huge debate about who our kids look more like. Me or Josh. Josh wont admit it but it drives him crazy if people say that our kids look more like me so when Andrea told me about this I figured I had better try it and the results are in, It looks like we are even. Jaxon looks like Josh, Hudson looks like me and Carston looks like both of us. You should all try this. It is a lot of fun!

Lake Powell

We had so much fun at Lake Powell this year. It was good to get away and spend some time with family and friends. I am already wishing that I could be back down there.

Rock Climbing

Last week we went climbing up AF canyon. Colby bought a child harness for evrest so Jaxon was excited to try it out. He did a great job. At least until he got to the top and realized that he had to come back down. He said that he just wanted to stay up there and enjoy the view. Josh and Gibb had to go up and help him get down. Now he says that he is excited to go and try it again. I guess I had better go and get him a helmet though so that he doesn't have to wear a pink one:)
