Family Night Fishing

For Family night this week we went with some friends fishing up AF canyon. We had a really good time. The Gibbs were the only one to catch a fish. Since I have boys, they couldn't keep their hands off the dead fish. They thought it was so cool. Jaxon especially liked how he could make it flop! Boys are so much more gross than girls. Jaxon was even walking around with worms on his head. Gross hu? It was a perfect night up the canyon though and I finally had to beg the boys to go home to bed.

Funny sleeping pictures

I thought these pictures were funny so I had to post them. While we were at the cabin my mom was SO tired.(Probably cause she stays up all night blogging!) just teasing mom, I know that wasn't why. Anyways she was in such a deep sleep that Jaxon thought it would be funny to put the bear on her head. She didn't even know it was there. We got a good laugh out of it. Hudson has not been sleeping at night. He wakes up at least 3 times a night. If anyone has any tips on getting your two year old to sleep I would love them. When I woke up this morning this is what I found. Josh said Hudson wanted to wear one of his shirts, watch a movie and eat ice cream. So since it was about 4:00 in the morning that is what he got. I was just grateful that Josh got up with him that time since Carston had already been up 5 times. The bags under my eyes are getting bigger by the day:)

Cake Walk at the Carter Family Reunion

This weekend we went with my mom to the Carter family reunion out at Ophir. We spent half the afternoon and a lot of money trying to win a cake. We were not having very good luck. Finally we won the very last cake. That was one expensive cake!! The cake was really cute. You can't really see in the picture but it is a cat and mice on a piece of cheese. The mice were gummy so that you could eat them. My mom wouldn't eat any of the cake cause she couldn't get past the black sprinkles that they put on the cake as mice droppings. I thought it was funny that it grossed her out so much.

Strawberry Days Parade

The parade was SO HOT this year! Jaxon and Hudson loved it though but by the end Jaxon would lay in the shade and tell me to go and get candy for him cause he was too sweaty:) We sat with Jeff & Rachel. The boys always love being with their cousins! We also found Carston's new love... Snow cones. I think he ate all of my moms. Thanks to Jeff's sister he was very entertained.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

Last night we went to the Rodeo. The boys loved everything. Jaxon said he didn't have a favorite part cuz he liked it all. But as you can tell from the pictures they were completely out of control. The lady in front of us even told us to move. My dad always takes care of those situations. Josh says we might need to take a break from the rodeo for a few years or at least until we can figure out how to control our WILD BOYS.

So it's always a huge debate about who our kids look more like. Me or Josh. Josh wont admit it but it drives him crazy if people say that our kids look more like me so when Andrea told me about this I figured I had better try it and the results are in, It looks like we are even. Jaxon looks like Josh, Hudson looks like me and Carston looks like both of us. You should all try this. It is a lot of fun!

Lake Powell

We had so much fun at Lake Powell this year. It was good to get away and spend some time with family and friends. I am already wishing that I could be back down there.

Rock Climbing

Last week we went climbing up AF canyon. Colby bought a child harness for evrest so Jaxon was excited to try it out. He did a great job. At least until he got to the top and realized that he had to come back down. He said that he just wanted to stay up there and enjoy the view. Josh and Gibb had to go up and help him get down. Now he says that he is excited to go and try it again. I guess I had better go and get him a helmet though so that he doesn't have to wear a pink one:)

Good Things Utah

Last week was my moms birthday. She is always saying that she wants to go and be in the audience at Good Things Utah so us girls decided to surprise her. We had a great time. Happy Birthday Mom!
